Kitchen Ethos Silicone Baking Mats Testing and Review - Worth it or Worthless ??

I have been dieing to try these for ages! I was lucky enough to get to try these for a deeply discounted price in exchange for my honest review. I Decided to try these with some Oatmeal Raisin cookies, nothing too special but a favorite around here.

Anyways, the mats are beautifully made very flexible, ply able and easy to fit into almost any pan or on any cookie sheet you want. I have been a long time user of tin foil and parchment paper and go through rolls and sheets like crazy, especially during the holiday season. I am happy that these awesome BPA free mats can replace both of these items!! I also thought it was awesome that these can be used over 2,000 times each!!! That's a lot of cooking and baking and also a lot of money saved by not having to use tin foil or parchment paper any longer. These mats make being eco-friendly a no brainer, and I love products that do that!

My baking experience with these was great from beginning to end, the mat was easy to put in the pan, no problems with rearranging cookies or having the mat pull up when adjusting, like what happens with the other two options. I cooked my cookies at 325, with no odors or smells other than cookies coming from my oven. That was really my only fear with these silicone mats, was that they would cause an odor when heated, and or the odor would leech into my cookies. This did not happen at all, and I was pleased. I will note that it did take me a bit longer( about an extra 2-3 minutes) to cook the cookies with the mat than with other methods.

Though with that noted my cookies came out great no BURNT EDGES with uncooked centers!!!! Perfectly cooked from the bottom to the top. The bottom was a golden brown and the center was soft, moist and cooked to perfection. I have always found it difficult to get cookies right either they are burn, undercooked or a mixture of both. So these mats made me look like an excellent baker haha.

I love that the mats distribute the heat evenly under the cookies, so no more problems with pans that get hotter in spots and burning cookies or not hot enough in other spots and leaving cookies under cooked. The mat also stayed very cool considering it was in an oven @ 325 I was able to touch it right after it came out without burning myself.

Clean up was a breeze, I always hate having to clean up right after baking because I want to enjoy the stuff I just baked not clean a pile of dirty dishes. The mat took me all of a minute and a half from start to finish to clean up. Very impressed there was only a little residual cookies oil to be cleaned up, not the usual burnt on cookie that must be scraped off the pan.

We will be making sugar cookies tomorrow, can't wait. Now, all I need is Kitchen Ethos to make a round pizza silicone mat and I'll be all set.

Overall this is definitely worth the price, I would highly recommend buying these you won't regret your purchase. Though if you do there is a 100% money back guarantee, how awesome is that. It definitely means they believe in the quality of their products !!!
